Install before you fly, on Wi-Fi or on mobile data you already pay for. Keep the travel line off until you land.
On iPhone open Settings, Cellular or Mobile Service, then Add eSIM, and scan the QR code on your order page. On Android open the SIM manager and choose Add eSIM. Names differ by brand. If you cannot find the menu, search settings for “eSIM”.
A QR code can usually be installed only once. Do not delete the eSIM after you add it. If the camera cannot scan, the order page also shows the SM-DP+ address and the activation code for manual entry.
The phone must be unlocked and must have an eSIM. Dial *#06#. If an EID appears under the IMEI, the phone has an eSIM chip. A phone locked to the carrier that sold it will refuse another network. Before you buy, the phone check lists the models that take eSIM.
Questions
Can I install after I land?
Yes, on airport or hotel Wi-Fi. Installing before the flight is calmer, because you are not doing it in arrivals with no connection.
What if I delete the eSIM?
Many QR codes install only once. Write to contact@esimamericas.com with your order link before you delete a line that you still need.
